Texas Tobacco Free Leadership Summit
The student council participated in the Texas Tobacco-Free Teen Leadership Summit. The summit was at Sky Ranch in Van, Texas. The student council members that participated developed a plan to have a tobacco free day on April 2, 2008. Miss Schubert would like to thank participating students for having such a great attitude and playing like a team!

Senior Citizens Ball
BHS science club and student council hosted the Bland "senior" prom on January 26, 2008 from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. Students served senior citizens in the community with supper and a dance at the Bland High School Cafetorium. During the dance guests voted on a prom king and queen.
BHS student would like to thank First Bank Farmersville for their donation of $500 and door prizes, Hennington School Services for their donation of pictures, and all of the attendees for making it such a special night.

Giving to the Community
Students collected
supplies to make stockings with toiletries and other goodies for
homebound senior citizens in the community. Stockings were
delivered on December 19, 2007. If you know homebound seniors
